My partners had MacBook screen replaced around 12 months ago after the screen broke.
Since then the hinges seem to be quite loose and don't hold the screen tight.
Can anyone suggest a way to tighten them without damaging the screen?

Which exact model is this MacBook? To access the display mounting screws will be different, but no model offers easy access to them without pretty much completely disassembling the notebook. If you got this display replaced by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider, I would strongly suggest that you take it back to them for resolution.
