Migrating from intel MBP to M1 Max, do I need to reinstall apps to get M1 versions?

I just bought a new MBP with M1 Max and I used migration assistant to move my files and apps to my new computer. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall my applications to get the M1 versions of the apps?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

If necessary yes you can.

Most updated software has already made the transition...apps are Universal

So generally speaking I don’t need to install M1 specific versions of apps?

I know Intel apps will work through Rosetta but I want to make sure I have the M1 optimized version of apps if they are available.

Generally you keep your software up to date there is no need to do anything further...
