my 2nd generation Apple TV seems to be out of date with firmware. Xfinity does not see the Apple app.
Can the firmware be updated on a gen 2 Apple TV box? if so how?
The 2nd gen has been classified as obsolete for some time, with it's last firmware being released back in 2014. That model does not run any apps, it uses server based channels. A server version of the Apple TV app was released for the 3rd gen, while the Apple TV HD and 4K can run native apps.
