Mac OS Monterey. Can't see my Garmin Nuvi 40 with my Garmin Express, so can't update maps.

Garmin Tech. support useless (Farmed out). Updated Garmin Express (GE) today. New GE does not see my Nuvi 40 to update maps. Cable connection good since Nuvi charged up connected to my Mac.

connect Garmin device to new MacBook Pro Trying to connect Garmin Dezl 760 to new MacBook Pro to update map files. Garmin express just spins and say cannot find the device. Using apple USB a to USB C adapter. worked just fine on older 2012 MacBook Pro that I am replacing

Does the device appear in About this Mac (upper left) after clicking on Apple icon)>System Report>Hardware>USB, assuming it connected via USB?

Have you restarted after update the Garmin software?
