Geometry Dash crashing on iPad iOS 15.1

My son was playing this on his iPad running iOS 15.1 and now it now longer runs and crashes as soon as you start it. I though maybe it was an iOS update. However, my iPad is also running 15.1 and Geometry Dash works fine without any issues. I completely erased my son's iPad and installed a fresh version of iOS 15.1 and still get the same results, it crashes on his running 15.1 and runs on mine with 15.1. I've gone thru all the setting to see if anything was different and my son's iPad mirrors mine. The only difference is his is the Pro 9.7 and mine is the Pro 11-inch 3rd generation. If anyone has any ideas, I certainly would be grateful.
