charging my new watch

You have multiple options:

1. Use the watch charger from a previous Apple Watch if you have one
2. Plug the charger you got with your new watch into a computer with a USB C input
3. Use a USB C charging plug if you own one
4. Buy a USB C charging plug if you don't own one

Note: Your new watch is capable of being charged faster IF you use a 20w USB C Charging plug. You can buy one from Apple, from Best Buy or from Amazon. Personally, I like the Anker Nano 20w USB C Charging Plug and you can buy one at Best Buy for about $16.
