Does Check coverage show correct AirPod max color?

when you check a serial number for AirPod max headphones on apple’s check coverage site, does the color of the headphones in the image match the color of the headphones the serial numbers came from?

Like i said in the title the charging case serial number located on the underside of the top of the charging case came back as a valid apple device on apples serial id website. However when i entered the serial number located on the individual buds into the same website they came back as invalid. apple max airpod serial number is the seriel number for apple max headphones different on the box and on the ear cup? i have 2 different serial numbers and i don’t know if that it’s meant to be like that!
