Iphone 7

my cousin gave me an iphone 7 and I was changing my passcode and decided to wait until later so I pushed cancel but when I tried to get back in my phone I tried to many times because it changed my passcode to something I don't remember, so I have gotten back into the phone but now it won't accept my apple id or password, it's all correct, but it said something about someone else owning the phone before and I would have to get their apple info. is there anyway around that?
