I accidentally removed by "notification email" from Sign-in and Security on appleid.apple.com . I don't see a way to add it back, that tile is completely gone now.

While trying to change my Apple ID, I was unable to change my Apple ID to the email I had listed under my notification email. I did not have another email address to change to, so from Sign-in and Security on appleid.apple.com I clicked on the notification email tile and hit remove email address. Now I don't see a way to add a notification email back, that tile is completely gone now. How do I add that tile back and is it necessary?

Hi T-Town-Team,

It sounds like you're trying to add a rescue email address to an Apple ID account. We're happy to offer some guidance.

It looks like you linked the article About your Apple ID email addresses with your post. You can find the steps to add a rescue email address to your account under the Rescue email address section of that article.

If you need additional assistance with adding a rescue email address to your Apple ID account, we'd recommend contacting Apple: Get Support

Hope this helps. Cheers!
