Apple ID and Apple Card

Got a new iPhone and created a new Apple ID for it but want to transfer my Apple card to my new Apple ID account from my original account. I still use the original account for my families phones so I just want to change Apple ID for Apple Card only. Apple won't let me for some reason.

The only way to get an Apple Card with a new AppleID is to apply again for another card. If you don’t want the card on the previous AppleID, you’d have to cancel it.

And if you’re sharing one AppleID for your families devices, that is never recommended. Everyone should always have their own AppleID for their own devices. AppleIDs are unique personal login IDs for Apple online services. They were never intended to be share and used by multiple people. For one thing, there is no privacy nor separation of data when people share one AppleID. Everyone has equal access to iCloud email and iCloud data and files, FaceTime calls, messages, notes, passwords, etc.

Add Apple Card to your iPhone:

  1. Update to the latest version of iOS
  2. On your iPhone, open the Wallet app.
  3. Tap the add button .
  4. Tap Add Card, then follow the steps to select Apple Card. If you're asked to add the card that you use with your Apple ID, cards on other devices, or cards that you’ve recently removed, choose Apple Card. 

After you add Apple Card to your iPhone, you can request a titanium Apple Card in the Wallet app.
