Hi,
When using the Trade-In Program, you always want to confirm the following has been done before sending the product to Apple:
Note: If you are using QuickStart to migrate from your old iPhone to your new iPhone, complete QuickStart first.
Use Quick Start to transfer data to a new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Sign out of iCloud Settings and disable Activation Lock
- Erase all content and settings
- remove all cases, screen protectors, and/or SIM card

Note: This resource was created for sending your iPhone to Apple apart of a repair, but essentially is the same instructions you will follow with your Trade-In Kit.
