Just got the new 2nd Gen pencil. It is connected but will not charge. Came with a charge no dead and will not charge

iPad mini, iOS 12

Thanks for connecting with us here in Apple Support Communities. You've mentioned that your Appel Pencil won't charge. Is it showing connected in your Bluetooth Settings? You've reached us from a great article, Charge your Apple Pencil and check the battery. Have you also tried disabling and turning on Bluetooth? Try restarting your iPad as well and following these steps to Connect Apple Pencil with your iPad.
