Scanning documents, using my iPhone 11

I cannot scan documents using my iPhone. Every time I attempt, I get this prompt: Upgrade Notes: to create notes directly, upgrade your notes.

How do I scan documents with iOS 14.2? I have an iPhone Xs and just recently updated to iOS 14.2 and I can’t scan documents through the notes app anymore. How can I scan documents using my iPhone? This is crucial to my job and I am extremely disappointed that Apple has removed this and now I am forced to use 3rd party apps to scan any such documents and risk any information on such to be leaked out to the world. Does Apple not care about people’s privacy anymore?

I have always scanned all my documents using the iPhone "Notes" app all these while. However, today I was trying to download one of my previous scans from a particular note. The document is not working (unable to open / missing). For example, I hav I have always scanned all my documents using the iPhone "Notes" app all these while. However, today I was trying to download one of my previous scans from a particular note. The document is not working (unable to open / missing). For example, I have scanned 20 documents, only 2 are working fine, the others are unable to open. I have scanned all these documents around 1 or 2 months back. However, when I look into the other older notes , they are working fine. Its only this particular note which I have the missing Scanned documents. Any solutions towards this issue?

Hi lovepaul2,

We see you're attempting to scan a document using your iPhone, but are unable to do so. Scanning using Notes requires the latest version of iOS. If you're not updated, we'd recommend checking for an update using the steps outlined below:
