European Union emoji and African Union emoji

Why is the an emoji for the European Union 🇪🇺 but not emoji for the African Union? The African Union has a green flag with the African continent a d stars around it. If you are going to put one then you must put the other.

The European Union has a reserved code element in the ISO 3166 standard. This is required before an emoji with that flag can be created by the Unicode Consortium.
