Preferences Error: There was an error in Network preferences

I’ve updated to Monterey few weeks ago and didn’t encounter any problems until last week, I cannot connect to the wifi. There’s an exclamation mark showing on the wifi icon and when I clicked on the Network preferences, it keeps on showing me “Preferences Error: There was an error in Network preferences”. Does anyone knows how to fix this?

I’m currently using Macbook Air with M1 chip.

Does the same issue present itself when booting into Safe Mode

Safe mode may help you resolve or isolate problems that you’re having with your Mac.

When you start up in safe mode, your Mac prevents some software, such as startup items, from loading, and it performs a check of your startup disk. Your Mac may take longer to start up because of the check.
