Recently deleted apps
Could an app show in “recently deleted apps” in battery usage of iPhone if no apps were actually deleted?
If so, why would this happen ?
Thank you

Hey elissa158,
It sounds like a random app that was very active was listed as Recently Deleted Apps for one day and then Recently Deleted Apps disappeared.
Do you still see Recently Deleted Apps in Settings > Battery?
If you tap on Recently Deleted Apps, it may show the Activity By App in minutes on screen and in the background. This may help to isolate which app it may have been referring to.
While Continuity would connect the iPhone and the Mac, it would not be sharing Recently Deleted Apps.
Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch

Hi elissa158,
Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like you want to know if an app that was never deleted will appear in a category that says it was deleted.
Was the app deleted and then download again?
Are other apps in “recently deleted apps”?
Where are you seeing “recently deleted apps” in Settings > Battery?

Please don't hesitate to let us know if you need additional assistance.
Cheers.
Hey elissa158,
Thank you for using the Apple Support Community. Updating apps would not cause apps to appear in Recently Deleted Apps. Due to the nature of your issue, you may find more information by contacting Apple Support directly using the link below.
Take care.
Thank you for responding
Yes, one of my questions is:
If no apps were actually deleted, could a “recently deleted app” be displayed in settings>battery (battery usage)?
Could it be an old version of a recently updated app?
thanks a bunch
Hey elissa158,
Thanks for clarifying. Let's get just a little more information to help narrow this down. It would not appear as a category at all in Battery unless something was deleted recently.
Are you looking in Last 24 Hours or Last 10 Days?
Does the category show a large usage time or percentage?
If you go to Settings > General > [Device] Storage, is Offload Unused Apps enabled? This frees up storage used by the app.
Keep us posted.
Ok thank you
Yes, it showed in the Last 24 Hours section.
And, yes, it was a large battery usage percentage, 53% of battery.
But it was gone the next day from both the Last 24 Hours & Last 10 Days sections.
Here’s another question:
Could it have been from a linked device (MacBook Air with same Apple ID as iPhone)?
I do very much appreciate your help!
No, it has disappeared from “Recently Deleted Apps”
The app could potentially be Life360 app, but not sure
Has this app had any problems/glitches that you are aware?
And if an update was recently done on this app, could the old version show in “Recently Deleted Apps” in settings>battery, despite the app not being deleted?
