I did a setup on my new iPad. The contacts didn’t transfer…what do I do now?

Where were the contacts stored? The iPad does not store contacts locally, so they must be stored within iCloud or a 3rd party email account. When you transferred your data the accounts should have also transferred over.

Make sure the contacts options is turned on in Settings->Contacts->Accounts->’You Email account”->Contacts.
