I am on satellite internet and it takes forever to download updates. I want to update from macOS Mojave to macOS Monterrey. Is there a way to download Monterrey only, and install at a later time? For example, I can download during nighttime hours while I'm sleeping, but then wait until I have the time during the day to install the updated OS.

Have seen one of two living in Remote areas do it this way.
Some users have experienced problems going from Mojave all the way to Monterey. Going to an intermediate version might be necessary. To get older versions see:
