You mean a kernel panic?
The crash log doesn't tell us much. It's really for engineering.
Please post an Etrecheck report from https://etrecheck.com, which will provide information about what might be going on. Give the application Full Disk Access in Privacy System Preferences, and use the "Additional text" button at the bottom of the reply box to paste the copied report.
Before I go through the whole report. Shut down. Disconnect all the drives, especially if they're on hubs. Launch the computer. Create a new admin user and test the application.
As Tom said, that Etrecheck report may well shed some light on the issue. These panics can be caused by a hardware problem, but also by misbehaving third party software, like kernel extensions. We need the report in order to give more specific advice.
You should do a system wipe and clean install with user migration only. You have old kernel extensions that don't work any more as well as applications. After you do that reinstall the applications. Do NOT install Chrome ever, or any software that monitors data transfer or cleans or optimizes your system.
Update the OS.
Outs possible the computer has a hardware problem. That’s often the case when there is a system shut down.
No. It’s for an application you have installed that hasn’t worked in years on newer OSs.
I guess that’s what I mean. Computer will just cut off like someone pulled the plug. I’ve owned 6 other macs that never do this.
Heres the report. thanks guys.
(please ignore; post was meant for another thread)
It is updated.
I’ve used clean my Mac in the past. So I’ll keep that away.
is there no way to update kernal extensions?
