Apple store preparing to ship status changed to order placed status

Heyy!


My question is that is it okay that my order was already in preparing to ship status but changed back to order placed status? Has anyone met this before?

I would have to guess it maybe meant that they didn't have the inventory they thought they had. I have no experience of this with an Apple Store but with other stores it has happened that when I looked online it said they had 2 of an item remaining but in reality when you go to the store it may be that those two were defective and removed from the stock on the shelves but still appeared in inventory.


The people responding here do not work for Apple so if you really want to know more about this you need to speak with Apple.

If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
