iPhone 12 Pro (Night Mode) Exposure Time

I like doing astrophotography on my iPhone 12 Pro and I recently somehow did an amazing 30 second exposure I believed to only be available for the 12 Pro Max. I was stunned but can’t seem to find out how to get to it again despite me setting night mode exposure off of auto and to max exposure time. I would really like to figure out how to do a 30 second night mode exposure again. Thank you for anyone who has any answers.

Hello colten115,

We understand that you want to adjust the exposure time for Night mode, and we'd love to help.

"Night mode automatically turns on when the camera detects a low-light environment. The Night mode icon at the top of the display turns yellow when the feature is active. Depending on how dark the scene is, your iPhone might take a Night mode photo quickly, or it might take several seconds. You can also adjust your exposure setting."

You can find some great information about Night mode here: Use Night mode on your iPhone

For more information on how to manually adjust the exposure setting, please check out the "Adjust the capture time" section of the above link.

Take care!
