I’ve been through three iterations of trying to reset my iCloud password by adding in a trusted phone number to send instructions with zero success. I received the new iPhone 13 pro max but because I cannot remember my iCloud password I cannot set it up How can I get the instructions sent to my alternate trusted number?

We did that, but nothing has been sent to the trusted number. We have been stuck in this loop since Friday. Each time we try we are given a time frame from 8 to 24 hours when we will get the message on how to reset the password, but the time explodes and nothing has been sent to the trusted number
When you get the prompt for 2 factor authentication code click or tap “didn’t get code” and you will be given a choice to use a different trusted number.
