Some rubber or silicone cases may keep in moisture or actually have a chemical reaction that causes them to liquefy and create a sticky wet oily substance.
Clean it up, and avoid cheap cases for the remote.
Thanks! I didn’t think so, but when I removed the remote from the protective case, there was an oily substance inside the case and on the back of the remote. And we do not have children in the house.
Leak out? There is no liquid inside the remote for it to leak.
I would be more worried about hurting your hand or cutting your finger if there’s glass or a jagged edge there.
