Told Iphone to forget Bluetooth device

This isn't really a question. I told my Iphone 10+ to forget a bluetooth device (ear buds) and I wanted it to remember them again. I followed the advice of resetting the network connection but nothing worked. What I finally found was my Ipad was connected to my earbuds. Once I turned off the Bluetooth setting on my ipad, my iphone was able to scan and show the device so I could connect. Hope this will save some other people some time in finding their device after they told their iphone to forget it. :)
