Unable to open internal storage

I can't access the internal storage folder of my iPhone7 on my Windows 10 laptop.

Also the storage folder properties show only 2.25 GB free

but the iPhone shows only 14.9 GB of 32 GB used

Windows, Windows 6

Hello roquefort44,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you're having issues with accessing files on your iPhone from your Windows computer. While you can't access the iPhone directly from the Device Manager, you can access the iPhone storage through iTunes. From there, check to see if the storage still reports the discrepancy: How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If you need to create more space, you can find excellent suggestions here: If you need more space for an update on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps.

Cheers!

Yes, I saw those warnings on your screenshot, it's strange.

Try connecting iPhone to PC.

Then click on Show hidden icons (bottom right of the screen)

If iPhone shows up there, right click on iPhone and remove.

But it looks like Microsoft has removed that option, or at least I don't see it here anymore.

If you right click on that warning icon, which options come up to do something?

Another option to remove the iPhone:

Go to Start -> Settings -> Devices. Select iPhone and click Remove.
