on my iMac keyboard I no longer can enter regular English punctuation marks, the exclamation point is upside down ¡, question marks look like this Ç, semicolons look like this ñ, the at sign in an email address looks like this !. Help, how do I fix this. My keyboard preference is set to English.

Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources and make sure there is only ONE item on the list, and that the name of this item is "US" or "ABC".
(You probably have the Spanish or some other input source active by mistake.)
