I'm having problems adding POP accounts to my Apple Mail.
I previously used Outlook for Mac but want to move to Apple Mail, but the problem is I have several email addresses from the same POP server and it doesn't allow me to add all my accounts.
Am I not possible to have more than 1 POP account in Apple Mail or am I just doing something wrong?
The reason I'm moving to Apple Mail is because Outlook is taking up so much storage so I was hoping that moving to Apple Mail will help, but if someone has another solution it would really help. Thanks so much in advance!
What is the issue, where are you stuck...?
You can try the Mail set up wizard https://support.apple.com/mail
Typically mail wants to default to IMAP— if this is you issues then 'trick' is to enter a bogus email address that does not resolve, this will prompt Mail.app to present more detailed setup option which will include a POP option.
If necessary choose "Other" to set up manually.
The pthere option is from the server side log in on line to your POP acount and simply have the account forwarded to your main email address—then it is a matter of checking one account within the Mail.app for all your incoming mail.
- IMAP is used for mail sync across all devices and stays on the server
- POP downloads off the server on first check
