Not possible. A software update cannot add hardware…
The flashlight is only available on iPhone and iPad Pro models - as these are the only devices have the TrueTone flash adjacent to the rear camera.
A workaround, that provides a reasonable level of illumination, is to display a plain white image on your device - and increase your screen brightness as required. You may also need to disable the automatic screen lock - as otherwise the screen timeout will extinguish the screen.
