Having an issue that will make or break my relationship so I’m hoping there’s something I can do here. I blocked a number but my Apple Watch says they sent me a message and I loved an image a couple weeks ago. This never happened so I’m completely at a loss here. My phone also shows I loved an image on 12/4, but the last message I sent was in October. Is there some kind of glitch? Can I still get messages when I have a number blocked?

it shows I loved an image in December on both my phone and the watch. But the last message I received was in October, when I blocked the number. I don’t believe they’ve sent me any other messages since they’re blocked. Added some pictures of both for you

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with blocked contacts. We understand how important this is to you and we are here to help.
Let's unblock the contact, restart both your iPhone and Apple Watch and Block it again using this article: Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue persists, can you provide a few more details? Which iPhone and iOS version are you currently using? Which Apple Watch and watchOS version do you currently have? Also, does this happen with multiple contacts?

We noticed there was no tapback on that message. There doesn't appear to be a heart.
Also, the alert says an Image was loved, can you check to see if an image was previously sent to you that has a heart on it?

Still doing the same thing. Also now my phone shows yesterday I loved an image-I unblocked and reblocked yesterday so maybe that’s why? Still odd though.
I have an iPhone 13 pro on iOS 15.2. It’s an Apple Watch series 3, on os 8.1
It’s just this one contact. I even tried removing the contact from my contacts list and it’s still there. It also doesn’t show any actual messages on the watch when I open it, if that makes a difference.

Can you provide a few more details? How does it show you loved an image?
Also, where does it show the date the image was loved?
Are you still receiving messages for said blocked person?
This will help us further isolate the issue.

I just got the watch so I’m still learning how to use it, but I’ve never replied to messages from it.
I’ve liked messages from the past from this contact, but the last one was from months ago, nothing recently.
