One airpod not working

So i hav a commen problem with my airpod pro's and one airpod isnt working, but the usual reset the airpods, or forget device and recconect thing doesnt work. But the thing is the right airpod doesnt work like at all, not even with just my iphone. It doesnt work with my laptop, my phone, my pc. and when i put it into my ear i dont get the sound like i normally do, and it doesnt even charge. I got this from my uncle and it doesnt have apple care and i dont want to pay a lot for apple care on the product so does anyone know what i can do to try and fix it? When i try to chat with apple support when i put my serial number in it says that the serial number has already gotten a new product so someone had a problem with it then got a new one then i got this one and now its not working.
