iTunes

I've noticed that music disappears from my iTunes Library. I download my entire CD collection into iTunes and I notice that entire albums vanish without a trace. I no longer have many of the CDs I used to create my library; and some aren't even available in the iTunes store, so for many of these rare items are lost forever. Why does this happen? Also why are some of my artist and songs re-categorized? I spent a lot of time organizing my library and I don't know how things get moved around as I have chosen to manually organize my library. Can anyone tell me why this happens?

Hi Mudlark48,

We'd like to help you find the best solution for your iTunes Library. We would recommend checking to see if this article fits in relation to what may have happened: If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library. In addition to this, check and make sure you have the latest updates. If you are syncing content, this can be common for music to be categorized where it is determined to fit best. If the advice we shared does not help, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support. You can use the link below, if needed.
