row below header row keeps sliding under header rows

On a Numbers Spreadsheet the first row UNDER the header rows keeps rolling under the bottom header row. It can be scrolled down but then reverts to its position under the header row. how do I stop it from doing that with out unlocking the header rows.

Freeze a row in Numbers I have a very large spreadsheet(120 ++ rows). I need to freeze (as headers) several rows through the document to allow scrolling that section while keeping the headers for that section. Example, I want row 10 to freeze as headers for the following 20 rows, and then have another frozen header for that next section. I have tried going to "Table" and selecting the line and then selecting the arrow next to the row number and then clicking my trackpad, but it does not come up as they show on the internet. I do get the top line showing Freeze Header Row .. but there is none of the other options like "insert header row". I only have options like "insert row above" and "insert row below", cut, copy, paste etc. So how do I make row 10 a frozen row ?

Freeze header row/column in Numbers not what I'm expecting I am looking for the Numbers equivalent to freezing panes in Microsoft Excel. I've got a simple spreadsheet with 3 columns of data and a couple of hundred rows of entries in those columns (header column is dates, columns 2 and 3 are data on those days). I highlighted my first row, which has the headers, clicked 'freeze header row', and as I scroll down the spreadsheet, to enter new data, the header row scrolls up along with everything else. Is this is expected behavior in Numbers? Is there a different thing I need to do to scroll down and right and have one or two rows/columns with headers stay locked to the top/left of the window? I'm trying not to pay up for a subscription to Office since I now am able to limit my complex spreadsheets to the work computer, and figure Numbers should handle my simple personal spreadsheet needs.

The table may be too close to the edge of the canvas. Try clicking in the table, then the "bulls-eye" concentric circles at its upper left, and drag it down and to the right a little.
