My iPhone XS Max quit receiving text messages and they are going to my iPad Air 3. This started after I did a system update. How do I correct this, I want the texts sent to my phone

Update Both Devices:

Update your iPhone as well. They should be on the same update. iOS15.2 is the most recent update. See if all is fixed.
