Activation Lock Disabled?
Hi,
I have an M1 Mac with Find My enabled yet I noticed in System Report it says activation lock status is disabled. Any ideas why?

IMHO - this could indicate this computer was pre-owned and the previous owner has not performed this action.
What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac
And as such - the previous owner could activate the Activation Lock on this computer
Please review the two pictures below and see if your Setup matches. First Picture from System Preference >> Internet Accounts >> iCloud. Note - the Find My Mac is enabled with a check mark. In Second picture - the Option on first picture is clicked and presents what is Inside the Options of Find My Mac - both option are also enabled.
After all that I just needed to turn Find My off on the Mac then reboot and turn it back on, now it is enabled.

As a Demo ??
My M1 Mac Mini as Brand New directly from Apple and see nothing like how yo describe it.
No 100% new from Very.
On iCloud site:
No it is the only Mac on there now
No it was new from a retailer
Yes both of those say On for me
I would contact the seller.
