Touch sensitivity issues with iPad pro 12.9" 5th gen

I got a new iPad pro, 12.9” 5th gen in July. Sometimes touch sensitivity takes forever and tapping multiple times to work and others, it is way too sensitive. Both issues are frustrating, I know sometimes it is Facebook, but it happens at other times when working and I tap something and it is just really stubborn. Then I can be reading something and don’t think I even touch the screen and whoosh, I’m off on another page that I don’t want to be on. Lately, it seems like I have to turn it off and on to get different things to work better, which doesn’t seem right for such a new device.

Hey there, and welcome to Apple Support Communities, islandlady91!

From our understanding, the screen on your new iPad is not responding as expected. We can certainly understand your concern and can help provide some insight.

To start, try the steps found here: If the screen isn't working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

If it is still responding intermittently, the next best step would be to reach out to Apple Support here: Contact - Official Apple Support

Kindest regards!
