Okay, so you're asking about music and apps. That's useful information.
You can't use iTunes (on any platform) to put apps on your iOS device anymore. That feature has been removed. You have to download them directly from the App Store.
You can also download music directly from the iTunes Store or subscribe to Apple Music. There has never been an iTunes version of iTunes.

Sorry, not a mind reader. It has also been possible to sync contacts, calendars, ringtones, voice memos (and probably some things I've forgotten) using iTunes.
