Hi, After upgrade to latest version 12.1 on M1, date colour has gone dark and on click n hold it shows the white but as soon we release the click it goes dark again. Any idea to fix this?

no. you missed my first reply. if you place the DND icon permanently on your menubar, you can turn DND on or off and the clock stays bright regardless. just open control centre and drag and drop DND onto your menubar. drag it by the text, not the icon.

Hi nrkhatana,
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having an issue with the menu bar since updating to the latest version of macOS Monterey. We're happy to provide some information to assist.
Does the issue occur no matter the overall appearance setting? If needed, you can check with the help of the guide here: Use a light or dark appearance on your Mac
We also recommend checking the "Reduce transparency" options and you accessibility settings: Change Display preferences for accessibility on Mac
If you haven't already, we'd also recommend a normal restart of your MacBook Pro. Shut down or restart your Mac
If the issue remains, test an NVRAM reset with the steps here: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
You can also test in a new user account and safe mode to be sure.

Best!
thanks for making me look into this. along with my previous reply, i just learned that when the DND icon IS NOT on the menubar, if DND is turned on, the clock is dark. when DND is turned off the clock appears normal. so since i always leave DND turned on, i need the icon on my menubar so my clock stays bright.
i noticed that on my machine, when the "do not disturb" icon is in my menubar, the clock is normal.
but if i remove the "DND" icon from my menubar, the clock goes dark.
Thank you so much. At least I can see the time n date. But sad to sacrifice a nice feature for it.
you're welcome.
