Mail App

I keep getting this message every time I am sending or writing a message on my mail app. Could you please explain what I need to do?


Mail was unable to open this mailbox on

the server "mail.redtape.com.pk".

The server returned the error: Client

tried to access nonexistent namespace.

(Mailbox name should probably be

prefixed with: INBOX.) (0.001 + 0.000

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13

If you can't send or receive emails on Mac > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204075


I would follow that resource above, as it contains good troubleshooting for your type of issue.


If all else fails, I would attempt to remove the mail account and re- add it.


If you are having to enter your third party email manually, you may need to get the specific mail server settings for that ESP.


If you need help getting those mail server settings you can visit Apples Public page to obtain those.


If you are unable to locate those settings using Apples Mail Support website, you will need to contact the Email Service provider
