Blocking a number on watch

I blocked a number in my contacts on my iphone but I cannot on my apple watch. I have a series 6 and i still get messages on my watch. How can I block it all together?

We see that you're having some issues with blocked contacts coming through to your Apple Watch. Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is a great place to start. If that doesn't help, we'd recommend reaching out to Apple using Get Support and see how they can support you.
