Stop safari web pages from moving around on iPad (iOS 15.1)

I do the NYT Spelling Bee and crosswords on my iPad, but the pages constantly move around (up, down, sideways) while I interact with them. On Facebook, pages move around on the screen instead of just scrolling. I’ve tried hiding the toolbar, changing the font size, zooming in and zooming out, and nothing works. How do I fix this?

Is it possible that your display is rotating? You can lock the orientation for your iPad with the following steps: Change or lock the screen orientation on iPad
