Losing App Icons Behind Notch in Monterey

On a new M1 16" MBP in Monterey, I adjust the display to suit the text size in various apps. I'm trying to keep the Displays preference in the menu bar for ease of access, but certain display text sizes make the icon disappear partly or completely behind the notch. Any fix suggested? TIA & happy holidaze!

How to adjust an app's settings to appear below the camera area on your 14-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro

Shruti Haldea, ( product line manager for Mac)—

“…on the 16-inch notebook, you still have a 16.0 active area on the diagonal in that 16:10-inch window, and we just grew the display up from there and put the menu bar up there.”

When developers update their app for compatibility with the new Mac, the "Scale to fit below built-in camera" setting no longer appears.
