Safari Auto-fill not filling the input on my M1 MacBook Air

I've been using Chrome after I purchased my M1 Air,

and tried using Safari since two months ago.

However, the keychain Autofill doesn't work.

Prompts show up with available account information and Touch/Password authentication works fine, but then after the authentication it is not filling anything in the text input fields on the webpage, both ID and password.

Chrome's password filling is just working fine on my MBA. And on my iPhone, Safari and Chrome both works all right too.

How can I fix this? Any guess on what's causing this issue? Please help.

From your post, we see you have macOS 12, but the latest version is macOS 12.1. You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. Hello html5,

There's never a for sure way to determine if a troubleshooting step would resolve any issue until it's tried, but updating would narrow down a possible cause of being outdated.

Updating also ensures you have the latest compatibility updates, as well as the latest security updates.
