MacOS Monterey 12.1 and Cisco Anywhere

I have recently upgraded from macOS 12 to macOS 12.1. Everything seems fine except for VPN. The Cisco Anywhere client just says that my login fails. I haven't been able to detect what error might be going on - but its definitely not working.

Cisco Anywhere client is version 4.10.03104 which was working fine on macOS 12.

Any similar experiences fixes?

Cisco AnyConnect VPN stopped working today, why? Nothing has changed on tehe VPN server side our network admins says, but was working fine yesterday morning on the 25.feb 2020, but this morning our Macs fails to connect to our ASA gateway. Was running versions of Cisco AnyConnect <= 4.1.04011, after restarting these clients they now says "No components loaded." and then quits. Newer versions all up to 4.8.02045 still fails to with the error: "The VPN client was unable to successfully verify the IP forwarding table modifications. A VPN connection will not be established.". So right now we Macs users are in a pickle, internal IT don't wants to/are not able to support Mac users, hence we've been forced not to upgrade to MacOS 10.15 Catalina, but now VPN even fails for MacOS Mojave 10.14 :/ Did something change in MacOS that automatically updated over night?

Forticlient error: "Internal error. VPN status observer is already set." I'm trying to get my work VPN working on a new Mac Mini (M1, 2021) running Mac OS 12.6. When I try to connect with Forticlient free VPN software, I am asked for the token digits and can get through that, but then I get a message: "Internal error. VPN status observer is already set." This does not happen on my 2015 MacBook Pro also running Mac OS 12.6. So it's not an operating system problem. I also did a reinstall of Mac OS on the new Mac Mini and that did not fix the problem. Also, since I can access the VPN using the MacBook Pro and my iPad, the issue is not my personal account. Anyone else see this message and know what it could be about? One potential clue: in setting up the Mac Mini, I used Migration Assistant to transfer data from a 2013 iMac running Catalina. It's possible some bad files are buried in the system--any suggestions for a good uninstaller (better than the Fortinet uninstaller) or what should be deleted?

Forticlient VPN stopped working I had been using the Forticlient VPN from my Mac Mini with catalina just fine. I just upgraded it to version 10.15.6, and today my Forticlient VPN did not connect for the first time since the beginning of the pandemics. The error was "insufficient credentials" although nothing changed from the previous successful connections. I am not sure whether the Apple OS upgrade is the cause, so I am posting this question to see if other people also had the same issue lately.

Contact the makers/distributors of your third party app to see if they have an update or compatible version.
