Before I sign up for AppleTV, I need to buy a device, correct? Does it matter where I buy my Apple device? The website for the “free trial“ gives no information about the device, unless perhaps it gives that information after you agree to sign up for the free trial.
The Apple TV+ subscription is best viewed in the Apple TV app. This app is available on select Apple devices and select third party devices.

Does it matter where I buy my Apple device?
Special offer: If you buy a new eligible Apple device, then do so from Apple or from an Apple Authorized Reseller. Then you would qualify for an extended free trial period (3 months instead of 7 days).
