Metallic/echo sound when using spatial audio with Apple TV (for movies etc)

I’m having issues with the sound quality with spatial audio. I have the newest Apple TV 4K with air pods 3 and the sound quality sounds metallic and echoey.

I have iPhone 12. AirPods 3. Netflix and and Apple TV on Apple TV 4K. I have top package on Netflix.

I have tried toggling all options. I can listen in non-spatial fine but as soon as I toggle spatial on, I get a slight echo or voices that sound in a tunnel.

if I use the same apps and same films on my iPhone, they sound amazing. Using all same settings, spactial audio is great. But obviously I’d prefer to watch a movie on my Apple TV and big telly rather than my little iPhone.

same problems occur with Apple TV (app), Netflix and Amazon. So it’s not an app development issue.

any help would be fab
