Apple One - Family

How much iCloud+ storage does my mom get from being in my Apple One - Family plan? She currently has the .99¢ (50GB) plan but I want to switch her to the Apple One - Family iCloud+.

When she joins your Family Sharing group she will will have the choice either to stay with her plan or be part of the storage plan in operation in the group. If she joins your plan her 99c plan will cease (as will the billing). You did not describe your plan but it's at least equal to and probably greater than her own 50GB plan, in which case it would make sense for her to choose to join your plan - and not have to pay for it herself. Bonus!

Especially:

Switch from your iCloud+ plan to your family plan

If a family member is already paying for their own iCloud+ plan, they can choose to switch to your plan or keep their own and still remain part of the family.

Either way, her own space remains private and for her use only.
