How can I tell which band is in the box without opening?

I ordered a series 7 starlight aluminum case apple watch for a Christmas gift with the product red sport band. However, I see nothing on the box that indicates the one they gave me has a red sport band included inside. All I see is a picture label of the watch on the back of the box that says "Series 7 starlight aluminum Case 41MM" and has a picture of an aluminum watch with what looks like a whiteish-gray band. I called the apple store and they assured me it was the right one, but I am skeptical. This is a Christmas gift so I don't want to open it but at the same time, I want them to have the watch they wanted on Christmas day. Should the label show the correct band? If not, I'm curious how they can tell them apart. Thanks.
