Note that some Apple Watch features depend on having a companion iPhone, and aren't available on an Apple Watch that you pair using Family Setup.

We definitely understand your question, however, those steps are the only way for syncing music over to the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch does require you to complete a specific set of steps to get music on it compared to the iPhone.
