New 13 Pro telephone function not working - apps are OK
You can either move your SIM card from the old iPhone to the new one, or setup your service directly on the new one using the embedded Sim setup process.

I used Quick Start to transfer the apps. It worked after four failures and forced resets.
I'm aware that the phone function didn't transfer so what I'm asking is what to do to get it working, looking forward to some guidance before I climb the slippery hill waiting for Verizon response. Thanks for your reply nonetheless.
Did you setup your cell service on the new iPhone or transfer the sim card from your old phone to the new one?
The cellular service does not get transferred with the rest of the data.
