Do you need a HomePod to set automation on home app?

Open the home app.

in the Automation tab click +

Add automation for when a time of day occurs, click next and select the bulbs

Im not sure about it also turning off in the same automation - you might need to add another to turn off, the same way as above,


There might be more options in the accompanying App that is for your bulbs. My Hue App has Routines you can set Start and End times.
